Three Cups of Tea

Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Build Nations and Stop Terrorism, by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin, is a perfect example of overcoming evil with good. Followers of Jesus should take care note of what is means to expend oneself for the good of others. Tragically, we have adopted the values of our self-absorbed, ego-indulgent foolish pop culture.

Greg was helped by the people of an impoverished remote Pakistani village in the Hymalayas following a failed attempt at climbing K2. He returned on his promise to construct a school building for the local children. Since then his energy and passion has built dozens more and has even taken him into the remote areas of Afghanistan. An inspiring read!

Faithfulness Defined

In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30, faithfulness is simply using what you have received for the master. There is a sobering principle imbedded in this short story: use what you've been given or lose it! (vv. 28,29).
